All Babies Initiative Program Manager
Congratulations and Welcome to Heather Anderson who recently joined the Lugar Center and ABI teams in her capacity as new Program Manager.
Heather will lead an outstanding team of community health workers, peer recovery specialists, and perinatal navigators who focus on wrapping services around pregnant and parenting families throughout the Wabash Valley.
Heather is a graduate of Indiana State University who has worked in the Wabash Valley throughout her career with a focus on children and families. She joins the Lugar Center with a background in the social services field for more than two decades; including many years with DCS, then joining Union in 2017, where she did case management with maternal child services. Heather is passionate about supporting children and families to reach their full potential.
The All Babies Initiative is focused on bringing the community together to overcome infant mortality in our region. One of its core components is the free home visiting programs under its umbrella which are designed to provide education and care coordination to pregnant women and families of children under the age of 18 months. It strives to lower risk factors associated with preterm births, low birth weight, infant mortality and poor developmental outcomes.
