Lugar Center Well Represented at IRHA Annual Conference

The Lugar Center team was well represented at the Indiana Rural Health Association Annual Conference in French Lick. The conference was the largest for the Association with over 600 attendees.

• Dr. Jim Turner opened the conference with a biographical tribute to Senators Birch Bayh and Richard Lugar. Dr. Turner also gave his presentation on Hidden Illnesses in the White House and spoke on his experience as a “country doc” treating addiction.

• Nicole Heath (above) presented on the Lugar Center’s work with the Clay City Center for Family Medicine with healthcare providers and advisory board members from the Clinic.

• Dan Hardesty and Christina Keller presented with the Indiana State Department of Health on Infant Mortality in Indiana and highlighted the Perinatal Navigator Program.
