Lugar Center presents on Workforce Development and Research at NRHA Annual Conference

Stephanie Laws presented in two separate capacities at the

National Rural Health Association’s Annual Conference in San Diego, California. First, her scholarly work on Rural Hospital’s Readiness for the Opioid Epidemic was presented during a research paper question and answer period at the conference. Next, in partnership with the Indiana Rural Health Association, Ms. Laws presented on her role in their new educational program that has created a curriculum that teaches students about rural health and the opportunities and challenges associated with the field. Lastly, the National Rural Health Association displayed a research poster that members of the Lugar Center and Indiana State University collaborated on in researching telehealth in local emergency departments. All members of the Lugar Center attended the conference and represented the Lugar Center and its incredible work.
